Edwin Flores, PhD
Dr. Edwin Flores focuses his practice on biotechnology patent law. Dr. Flores helps universities, small and medium companies, and individual inventors protect their intellectual property rights via patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and contracts. He also works with trial lawyers as a consultant in patent litigation matters.
From 2005 to 2008, Dr. Flores was appointed to the Advisory Council of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institute of Health (NIH). From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Flores was also appointed to the prestigious Council of Councils of the NIH.
Dr. Flores Dr. Flores is a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, and previously practice with the law firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin and his Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in Immunology. Dr. Flores’ scientific training includes molecular and cellular immunology, molecular biology, signal transduction and growth factors.
Dr. Flores currently serves on numerous community boards in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
